Secure Copy 5.x and up - Copy only changed source files to target
When copying only changed files, Secure Copy compares the modified date and size of the file on the source to the same file at the destination. If the source file has a more recent modified date or different size, the file is copied.
Changing permissions on a file or folder doesn't change the modified date but it does change the “last accessed” date. Consequently, Secure Copy will not (by default) re-copy files that that have not been modified but whose permissions have been altered.
Secure Copy compares “Modified date” and “Size”. Change permission does not change the modify date but the “last access date”; therefore the files will not be copied.
Select the “Always copy permissions, even on skipped files” checkbox to modify this behavior so that even if a file is skipped, its permissions will be copied.
