Review the Backup Agent log and it will show the backup completed successfully, but searching for NTDS in the logs shows an error with the NTDS Writer, as well as that the NTDS.dit file could not be located.
Run vssadmin list writers on the DC and the NTDS writer may show that it is in an error state.
RMAD leverages VSS to perform the backups. If the VSS writers are in an error state, RMAD will not be able to complete, or fully backup all the components. The issue with the VSS writers needs to be resolved. If needed, please contact Microsoft for further assistance as this is an Operating System issue.
