When upgrading Recovery Manager for AD (RMAD) 7.6.3 - v7.7 at the point when the install attempts to recreate the SQL database the user will receive an error:
Error 26204. Error -2147217900: failed to execute SQL string, error detail: "line 22: wrong syntax near '('"
If RMAD v7.6.3 was originally configured using SQL 2000 then v7.7 does not support SQL 2000. The release notes state that v7.7 only supports SQL 2005 or SQL express.
Ensure SQL 2005 full version or SQL Express is installed before installation. SQL Express is available via the redistributable of the install CD/download.
