How to set forwarding when ODME is configured to use Modern Authentication -
Description
Modern Authentication can be utilized for the migration of mailbox data however the setting forwarding option does not currently support this authentication type. -
Resolution
For this scenario an account that is not configured for Modern Authentication will be needed. The administrator account must also have basic authentication enabled.
- Login to the On Demand Migration for Email ODME portal
- Access your migration plan
- Select the Options tab
- Expand the Forwarding (Optional) section
- Click the checkbox "Forward new items as they arrive"
- Choose the forwarding direction source or target from the drop menu
- In the Forward to: field enter the forwarding domain
- Enter the admin username and password in their respective fields
- Click the Test button to confirm the settings are successful
