To migrate big amount of mailboxes it is usually necessary to create many migration plans. Most of the plans have the same settings for source and target connections and migration options. The usual approach is to create one migration plan and then copy it many times.
But this approach has several limitations:
Create and manage ODME templates:
1.- You need a migration plan already created:
2.- The existing migration plan just needs to have configured the "Connections and "Options" settings:
3.- Click on “Save as Template”:
4.- Click the Save and Done buttons:
5.- Click on the “Manage Templates” button to go to the templates list:
6.- Here you can Edit, Delete or create a New Plan for any existing template:
Note: You cannot delete a template that is related to an existing migration plan.
7.- When you create a new migration plan from a template you need to type the migration plan name:
8.- If the migration plan has been created successfully, then you can click on “Configure this plan” to configure it:
9.- If you go to the Dashboard window the new migration plan should appear listed:
Note: As you can see on the screenshot above the template used to create the migration plan appears as a link so that the corresponding template settings can be accessed.
