After version 11.0 the license handling process changed from the register.ini to a license key (a text string).
When upgrading KACE Desktop Authority or installing a new server, license information is not accurate or file register.ini (for versions previous to 11) or the license key (for version 11) is not available or licensing assistance is needed.
To request the current KACE Desktop Authority license file to be imported, please follow the steps below:
Enter your Email Address and License Number. The Key Refresh Tool should send the KACE Desktop Authority license immediately. If the License file is not available the form must be filled with a valid mail address and KACE Desktop Authority license number or, in case this information is not available, User, Company and Code must be provided, this information is available in current register.ini file. That file can be found by browsing to the Slogic$ share on your Desktop Authority server. For example, \\DAServer2012R2\Slogic$ would be the register.ini file’s location if the name of your KACE Desktop Authority server was “DAServer2012R2”.
