After having renamed the Desktop Authority server, it will be necessary to perform the following steps:
NOTE: if just the IP address of the Desktop Authority server was changed, there is no need to apply the steps below.
Note: If in the original installation of KDA the default installation path was changed, the files may reside under a different path or another local drive.
• Use FIND and REPLACE to replace all instances of the OLD SERVERNAME with the NEW SERVERNAME and save the file.
While in the Desktop Authority Setup Tool, navigate to the "Service Management" tab and verify that both Services will start properly.
Modify the Desktop Authority Manager Shortcut with the new server hostname by following this Knowledge Base Article:

If not then there may have been an issue with the server name change, please contact Technical Support for assistance.
• Click Save.
• Edit the server name in the field labeled “Path”.
Note: Logging can be disabled by clearing the entry for Path.
• Use the drop-down menu at the bottom left corner and click “Force an update of the local Desktop Authority folder on clients”.
• Click “Yes” on the prompt.
• Click “Replicate changed files (default)” and click Yes to start the replication.
