RESOLUTION 1
The alarm templates available in Foglight 6.0 and higher can be used to disable or enable severity levels for specific rules.

RESOLUTION 2
A rule can be customized to disable certain severity levels:
- Log onto FMS console as an administrator
- Navigate to Dashboards | Administration | Rules & Notifications | Manage Rules
- In the Rules list click on the Rule for which the alarms need to be turned off
- Expand severity (Fatal, Critical, Warning etc) on Conditions, Alarms & Actions tab
- Uncheck the box next to Activate
- Click on Save All button at the bottom
Note: It is recommended that when modifying out of the box rules to make a copy of the original, disable the original and enable the copy to modify its conditions.
