How to turn off alarms for certain severity condition in a Rule?

The alarm templates available in Foglight 6.0 and higher can be used to disable or enable severity levels for specific rules.

For more information refer to Using the Alarm Templates Dashboard (4226468).

A rule can be customized to disable certain severity levels:

1. Log onto FMS console as an administrator
2. Navigate to Dashboards | Administration | Rules & Notifications | Manage Rules
3. In the Rules list click on the Rule for which the alarms need to be turned off
4. Expand severity (Fatal, Critical, Warning etc) on Conditions, Alarms & Actions tab
5. Uncheck the box next to Activate
6. Click on Save All button at the bottom
