Active Administrator Console is unable to establish a connection with the server while on VPN. Error: "No such host is known"

Active Administrator can connect while on the LAN, but when connecting over VPN it cannot find the server and shows error message: "No such host is known".

First, review the following KB article related to the error message "Critical error: Unable to establish a connection. No such host is known":

If the issue persists, verify if there's a reverse DNS zone for the VPN that includes the AA server IP. If not, add it and then wait some time for the changes to replicate and take effect. Then, try to launch the AA Console again to see if it can now connect to the server while on a VPN. You should also double-check woth your VPN provider that the ports used by AA are not being blocked by a firewall:
