Non-English character sets in file names, folder names, share names, user names and group names are not officially supported.
However, Secure Copy is written to conform to UTF (Unicode Transformation Formats) including UTF-8 (8-bit variable width) and UTF-16 (16-bit double byte variable-length) encoding.
File names using characters that can be stored and retrieved using the Microsoft Windows operating system should function transparently in a data migration or file copy job.

may not be used in any file name, path name or namespace. Non-English character sets may contain undocumented “reserved” characters.
