Cannot connect to services even though the replication jobs run in the background.
The cause is a bad entry or corruption in the DataBase
1. Download SQL Express Management Studio from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8961 if you don't aleardy have it installed.
2. If you already have SQL Management Studio already installed skip to next step. Install SQL Express Management Studio
3. Open SQL Express Management Studio and connect to the vRanger SQL Instance (defualt is VRANGERPRO)
4. Click the + next to Databases
5. Right click on vRangePro and left cick New Query
6. Paste following in the empty window:
drop trigger tr_TaskAlert_insert
drop trigger tr_TaskAlert_update
7. Left click on ! Execute
8. Reconnect to the updated Database
a. Go to start, programs, Quest Software, vRanger Backup & Replication, vRanger Database
b. Click Next
c. Select Install/Upgrade on an existing SQL Server 2005/2008
d. Use Server Authentication of Windows (unless you are installing in enterprise SQL)
e. Click Next
f. Select Verify
g. Ok
h. Click Next
i. Click Next
j. Click Yes to proceed
k. Click Automatic Setup
l. Click Next
m. Click Finish
9. Restart the vRanger services
a. Stop the vRanger services
1. Stop vRanger API Service first
2. Stop vRanger FLR Service second
3. Stop vRanger Service
b. Start the vRanger services third
1 Start vRanger Service first
2 Start vRanger FLR Service second
3 Start vRanger API Service third
10. Start vRanger
