When I try to replicate a VM it fails with an error message: An internal error occurred during execution, please contact Quest support if the error persists. Error Message: API Call failed with message: File <unspecified filename> was not found.
This is happening only on one VM. Other VM's replicate without any errors.
The replicated VM's files on the target host are missing (deleted) or corrupted. The .vmx of the "vmname_replica" has references to the files in the "vmname_replica" folder on the target host which point to missing/deleted/corrupted files.
The most common cause of this error is deleting files manually from the target data store in the "vmaname_replica" file folder.
Delete the target VM (VMNAME_replica) from the target host's inventory (through the VI client "delete from disk" option) and restart the replication.
