After importing a vRanger 5.2.x license file all backups fail with the following error message: < hostname or IP address of ESX host > is not licensed for the backup feature.
This occurs because the licensing gets reset but not applied to your hosts.
1. In vRanger click on Tools, Options, Host.
2. Place a check in the Pro Backup checkbox next to your hosts.
3. Click Ok.
4. Run your backup job again and this time the error will not occur again.
