ERROR: "0x80040106 : failed to create personal message store" -
Description
While using the Archive Manager Search Exporter Tool to export messages to a PST, the following error is received:
0x80040106 : failed to create personal message store
This message may occur while trying to create both a Unicode or an Outlook 97-2002 format PST.
Outlook is installed and working correctly. -
Cause
The version of Outlook installed is incompatible with the Search Exporter.

Resolution
Install a version of Outlook that is compatible with Archive manager Search Exporter.
Outlook versions prior to Outlook 2002 are not supported.
Outlook 2002 will only allow creation of an Outlook 97-2002 non-Unicode PST.
Outlook 2003 or higher is required to create a Unicode PST.
