When a user undergoes a name change in AD, this will change the login for that user stored in the logins section of Archive Manager. The concern is that Archive manager will see that person as a different user and not associate it with its original mailbox.
When a user's name changes, it will not be reflected until the Archive Manager Active Directory Connector runs and receives the updated attributes of the changed user account.
When a user's name changes in Active Directory, the Archive Manager Active Directory Connector needs to be run so that the necessary attribute changes can be reflected in Archive Manager. Once this takes place, Archive Manager will retain the original mailbox for the new user's logon changes and the customer will receive no disruption to their archiving experience.
You may also need to perform a Server Reboot on the Server that runs the Archive Manager Web Services to clear the IIS cache or the user may not be able to login.
