Backup fails with "The partition size is incorrect, please shrink the volume." when adding a Linux VM to agentless protection (VMware)

The backups of Linux VMWare VMs protected via Agentless, fail with the error: "The partition size is incorrect, please shrink the volume."

The error persists even after increasing the size of the virtual disk 1 or 2 GB as suggested in Knowledge Article 4033908.
 

The issue has been identified as defect RR-111487. The defect will be evaluated by our Product Team for inclusion in a future release of Rapid Recovery.

These instructions have to be applied to the Rapid Recovery Core Server.

For Rapid Recovery 6.6:

• Download the patch from P-2626. 
• Stop the Core service.
• Install the MSI package.
• Start the Core service.

For Rapid Recovery 6.8:

• Download a Rapid Recovery Core DLL file from here,
• Replace the DLL from the following paths and restart the core service:
  • C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\CoreService\Core.Implementation.dll
  • C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\BootCdKi\RecoveryTools_x64\Rrc_x64\Core.Implementation.dll

• Download the patch P-2649
• Stop the Core service.
• Install the MSI package.
• Start the Core service.

For Rapid Recovery 6.9.309

• Download the patch P-2652
• Stop the Core service.
• Install the MSI package.
