When trying to log into the KACE SMA (Systems Management Appliance) or SDA (Systems Deployment Appliance), using the local admin account, it takes a long time to authenticate (>30 seconds).
This issue will also be noticeable when trying to use LDAP account, however an LDAP issue is ruled out due to the local admin account being affected.
A linked appliance, ie. SMA, SDA, RSA that is linked, is not responding.
When linking appliances the credentials supplied are logged into each AD server on the SMA and SDA on every org, then checked against each linked appliance.
Having bad credentials or an appliance not responding or turned off, the SMA or SDA will delay the login up to 30 seconds per failed authentication source.
Resolution
Check that there is no network connectivity issue on the other Appliances or they are turned off.
If Appliances needs to be turned off but the KACE Appliance login delay is not acceptable, unlink the offline Appliances.
