SMA Agent Fails to check-in when deployed with KACE SDA -
Description
After deploying KACE Systems Management Appliance agent using KACE Systems Deployment Appliance post-installation tasks the agent will not check-in the KACE SMA, and will not appear on the Device list, even when using a valid Token. -
Cause
The Post-installation task should follow a recommended order to let the KACE SMA agent complete the first check-in normally without interruptions caused by Antivirus, security software installed before the agent, or by Group Policies enabled by joining the domain before the agent is installed. -
Resolution
The last 3 post-installation tasks should be placed in the following order to avoid any conflict with the SMA Agent check-in process:
- KACE SMA Agent
- Antivirus or Security Software
- Join Domain
