After a migration between shares using Secure Copy 7, a folder is unexpectedly created at the root of the target share. The new folder contains the files to be migrated.
At times, a "$" symbol is appended to the folder name.
This occurs even if the option to 'Create initial source folder under target folder' is not enabled.
The problem can occur when the folder name on the Source device is different than the share name.
Secure Copy creates a folder with the share name on the Target device, even if the folder is supposed to be hidden and then copies the files into the new folder.
This behavior is addressed the 7.1 release of Secure Copy
Download and install the latest version of Secure Copy.
Open 'Synchronization tab and disable the option to "Block inheritance for root folder(s)"
