If Archive Manager does not have access to a writeable Domain Controller (DC) and can only access a Read Only Domain Controller (RODC), the MAPI Dataloader service will produce the following error in the Dataloaderworker.exe.log file:
2011-01-01 01:01:01,001 [14] ERROR AfterMail.Log.DataLoader - [1749612380-1179854255-11-0x0] Failed to process MAPI
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007054B): The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
Archive Manager will work in an environment that contains RODCs but if a MAPI Dataloader is configured (for journaling), Archive Manager will require access to a writeable DC.
STATUS
Waiting for a fix in a future release of Archive Manager.
WORKAROUND
Make a writeable DC available to the Archive Manager services server.
