Data Loader error: "Application failed with an unhandled exception" (4324527)

The Event Viewer is filling up with Data Loader errors with event IDs 10 & 11 and the description of the error shows:

"Worker for journal '<Journal Mailbox Name>' terminated unexpectedly with exit code 128, state DEAD"

The wlog for the Data Loader shows an error similar to the one below:

There is a corrupted message in the Journal mailbox that the Data Loader cannot handle

- Check the wlog for the subject of the corrupted message (It will be displayed close to the bottom of the wlog)
- Login to the Journal Mailbox with an Outlook client
- Find the message and delete it (Do not allow it to sit in the Deleted Items folder, remove it from here as well)
- Stop and start the Archive Data Load service on the Archive Manager server

(for the path of the wlog check the value in Archive Manager Configuration Editor Data Loader Log Path. In that folder the folder called DL can be found. In DL folder wlogs are structured by date. So, if the value of Data Loader Log Path is D:\ArchiveManager the wlog file will be in a path similar to the one below:
D:\ArchiveManager\DL\20090210\DataLoaderId-2-20090210.wlog)
