Purge option not working properly during copy job -
Description
Files on target are not purged when option "Synchronize target with source", sub-option "Purge orphaned files/folders in SUBFOLDERS of the target" are selected. Did not use the "Create initial source folder under the target folder". The source and target are on two different NAS arrays on two different shares. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Create a map file using Notepad.
Example: (See Secure Copy User guide for additional details)
\\Source\Share\=\\Target\Share\
On the "Copy Locations" page, select option "Create initial source folder under target folder".
On the "Synchronization" page, select "Purge orphaned files/folders on the target".
On the "Other File Options" page, select "Map Folders and Files".
Browse and select the map file.
Save the job.
