LDAP labels imported during scheduled user import (4317137)

When using LDAP authentication for user import from AD, sometimes it is observed that LDAP labels are created with the description " Imported LDAP Label". Sometimes this may cause some confusion or be undesired.

This happens at the scheduling option for the user authentication (Settings - Control Panel | User Authentication) when the  "Label prefix" is defined, by default it can be shown as "user_" then it will create the labels based on the attribute, for example for AD security groups is "memberof"

To prevent this from happening follow these steps:

• Go to Settings - Control Panel | User Authentication.
• In the Authentication Setting page, you would need to click on the "clock" icon for each LDAP bind.
• In the "User Import : Schedule" page scroll down to the "Label Prefix" box and clear it out.
• Click next.
• Scroll down to the Label section and now it should be empty.
• Click next and save the changes.
• Repeat these steps on each LDAP bind you have set.

Note: This should not affect user login functionality or role mapping and it will NOT alter or delete any LDAP labels that have already been created. These will need to be removed manually.
