When linking one KACE appliance to another, the user gets the following error when testing the connection:"connection response 401 associated key fingerprint not found"
Missing charecters/incorrect linking key.
This can occur when one of two things happen:

Resolution:
1. Go to Settings | Manage Linked KACE Appliances and delete the linked appliance showing the error on both appliances you are trying to link.
2. From the appliance, click Settings | Control Panel | Linking KACE Appliance Settings.
3. Click Edit Mode.
4. Check the box next to Enable KACE Appliance Linking. Check the KACE SMA name and make sure it is correct. Please note that the IP address of the KACE appliance can be used.
5. Click Set Options.
6. Once that saves, a new field called Linking Key (this server): will be visible.
7. Click Edit Mode again and copy this Linking Key.
8. NOTE: it will be necessary to copy the whole field including the Begin and End strings.
9. Once copied, click Settings | Control Panel | Manage Linked KACE Appliances.
10. Click Choose Action, select Add New Item.
11. Type in the remote KACE SDA appliance name. Please ensure that this is the fully qualified domain name if this is what the appliance is named. Please note that the IP address of the SDA appliance can be used..
12. NOTE: If the SMA appliance is configured to use SSL, click the checkbox next to "Connect using SSL:".
13. Paste the key in to the Linking Key field.
14. Click Save.
