Cannot Publish Snapshot or Views from Toad Data Point (TDP) client to Toad Intelligence Central (TIC) server. Publishing Dataset works fine and other users can access it. TIC detected: ‘ODBC Driver: Oracle in instantclient_12_1 (64-bit)’.
Receiving the Errors below:
1) TDP - when publishing a View or Snapshot:
There was an error publishing your object.
Error: Toad Intelligence Central does not appear to have an Oracle client installed. Please install an Oracle client on the server and set up connection details for this connection.
2) TIC - when adding a Data Source:
An Intelligence Central server occurred while mapping the data source "EDS".
Server error 4206: Invalid data source definition: ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connection identifier specified
3) TIC - when adding a Data Source:
An Intelligence Central server occurred while mapping the data source "EDS".
Server error 4206: Invalid data source definition: ORA-12541: TNS: no listener; ORA-12541: TNS: no listener
1) Go to Start Menu, right-click on 'Computer', and click Properties | 'Advanced System Settings'.
2) Go to the 'Advanced' tab | 'Environment Variables' button | 'System Variables' (lower half of the screen).
3) Highlight the 'Path' variable and click the 'Edit' button.
4) Modify it so that the 'path' entry for the Oracle Client (i.e. "C:\Oracle_Instant_Client_12c_64-bit;") is at the very beginning.
5) Click OK to save it. Restart TDP and TIC. Re-test the issue.
