To assign a device automatically to an organization different to the default organization, consider this:
1) If it does not exist, create the organization which will contain the devices.
2) Create the filter that new devices must match to be assigned to the desired organization, to do this:
The new filter is created
3) Assign the newly created filter to the existing or newly created organization. Perform the following steps:
At this point when an agent checks in on the KACE Systems Management Appliance, the filters will be applied in order and if a device matches more than one, it will go into the default ORG.
If the device is already assigned to another organization and it needs to be moved to the new or any other ORG, follow instructions in article Moving devices from Organizations on SMA. Force inventory or wait for the device to appear on the new organization and delete the unconnected device from the old organization. This way, on the next inventory process the device will be available in the newly selected organization.
