Cannot Connect to Toad Intelligence Central Server from Toad Data Point.

Unable to connect to Toad Intelligence Central (TIC) Server from Toad Data Point (TDP).  The error below is received.  If using TDP and TIC on the same machine, it works fine.  If using TDP that resides on a different PC to connect to a TIC Server, it does not work.

ERROR:

"Unable to connect to any of the specified Data Service hosts"

Firewall is blocking the connection.

Check if Port 8066 on the machine where the TIC Server resides is open to incoming traffic.  Check your firewall settings and allow traffic to this Port.

Also, try connecting using Port 3566.

Instructions to add firewall rules

Attached is a document showing how to add Firewall rules to fix issue. Per one customer report, customer was able to use Port 3566 after adding the same rule as Port 8066. After the rule for Port 3566 was added, customer reported that Port 8066 started working as well.
