Description
Dell Warranty updates are not working as expected in versions 10.0 and below.
When attempting to force a Refresh of Dell Warranty information for a specific device from within Device Details, an error is received: Oops! Something Went Wrong.
In the More Info section, this error is displayed: "PHP Error: Uncaught Unhandled Exception in /kbox/kboxwww/include/DellAssetService.class.php on line 67: Call to a member function children() on null"
Additionally, the following may be noted in the Server Errors log (error_log):

Cause
Dell Warranty API version was updated and code changes were necessary for the KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA). -
Resolution
Method 1: Upgrade to 10.1
This situation has been addressed in version 10.1. Please upgrade to 10.1 for continued support with Dell Warranty.
Prior to upgrading, please review Upgrade Preparation and Considerations.
Method 2: Only available for 9.1 and 10.0
Apply the hotfix at the bottom of this article to resolve.
Note: The hotfix does not cause the SMA to reboot.
To apply the Hotfix:
- Download the Attachment at the bottom of this article
- Go to Settings | Appliance Updates | Manually Update | Choose File
- Navigate to the file download in step 1
- Click on Update
