Zoom Meetings not being detected as Patched if .exe is used during install

During patch detections that include Zoom Meetings, it may be noticed that it comes back as Not Applicable, even if Zoom Meetings is installed and showing under Installed Programs.

This is due to the fact that installing Zoom Meetings using the .exe from their website causes the software to install only for the user that performs the install. If another user is logged in to the same device, Zoom won't show as installed. The binaries are deployed in folder for specific user profile and there are no registry key entries in HKLM. As the KACE agent doesn't have access to a user-specific registry, it doesn't have ability to patch software that are installed in this way.

To avoid running into this issue, proceed with installing Zoom Meetings using the .msi installer, which does install it system-wide (for all users). The latest .msi installer can be found here.

As with other .msi installers, common installation parameters can be used to install silently, and can be deployed using Managed Installs or Scripts.
