Error occurs when opening Recovery Manager for AD: "Failed to connect to the configuration database. Unrecognized database format "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Quest Software\RMAD\ERDiskAD.mdb".
The error appears if the ERDiskAD.mdb file becomes corrupt.
1. Create a second copy of ERDiskAD.mdb.
2. Using Microsoft Access, open the copied file.
3. When the file opens, a box should appear asking you if you would like Access to repair the file. Choose YES to allow Access to repair the file. There is no option to save the file because any changes made to the file are automatically saved.
4. Once the file is repaired, return it back to the original folder and open the Recovery Manager for AD console. Recovery Manager for AD should open at this point.
