Opening Stripped Messages in Outlook Displays Error "msxml3.dll, Access is denied" (4267642)

"Error msxml3.dll, Access is denied" is displayed while opening a stripped email in Outlook.

The Windows credentials are not automatically being passed through to the website or the current Windows logon information has an outdated password cached.

Resolution 1

1. Open Internet Explorer and navigate to Tools | Internet Options | Security | Trusted Sites.
2. With Trusted Sites selected, click on Sites.
3. Add the Archive Manager URL to the zone and select Close.
4. With Trusted Sites selected, select Custom Level and scroll to the bottom of the Security Settings - Trusted Sizes Zone window.
5. Select Automatic logon with current user name and password under the Logon menu.
6. Click OK and OK again to close the Internet Options window.
7. Close and reopen Outlook and open a stripped message.

Resolution 2

1. Go to Start | Control Panel | User Accounts | Advanced | Manage Passwords.
2. Select Stored User Names and Password.
3. Select the profile that is used for the Archive Manager website and select Remove.
4. Click Close and OK.
5. Close and reopen Outlook and open a stripped message.
