There are many reasons to not be able to log into the K1000. If your console shows a normal login prompt and The KACE Appliance is pingable, please consider the following scenarios:
Issue: Username and password combination are incorrect.
Symptom:You receive the error, "Login Failed: Incorrect user name or password."
Solution: Login with admin user and manually check username and reset password.
Issue: Role that is assigned to user has no visable tab.
Symptom: You receive the error, "Access Denied: You do not have access to any of the tabs."
Solution: Login with admin user and check assigned role and definition of role for the user in question under Service Desk > Users.
Issue: LDAP authentication is enabled and you are attempting to use a local account.
Solution: Only the local username "Admin" account works when LDAP authentication is enabled.
Issue: LDAP users and admins are unable to log into the appliance, but the local "Admin" username is able to log in.
