The file that holds the saved jobs, called SecureCopy.ssd, has become corrupted. This can happen when more than 20 threads are running concurrently.
If you have a backup of the Secure Copy installation folder, then you can restore the SecureCopy.ssd file. The default location is:
Server 2003 and earlier operating systems:
C:\Program Files\ScriptLogic Corporation\Secure Copy 5 (or 6)
Server 2008 and later operating systems:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ScriptLogic Corporation\Secure Copy 5 (or 6)
If you do not have a backup, then you will need to re-create the jobs. Once the jobs are created, be sure to make a backup copy of that SecureCopy.ssd file regularly, in case it ever gets corrupted.
NOTE: If you are running multiple jobs at the same time, make sure the total thread count is not more than 20. For instance, if you run 5 jobs at the same time, the thread count for each individual job could be 4 (since 4 thread count x 5 jobs = 20 maximum threads). Or, you could have 3 jobs running with 5 threads each, and then another job with 3 threads, and the last job with 2 threads. The important thing to remember is that the total number of threads for all running jobs at the same time should not exceed 20 threads.
Also, try not to start the jobs at the same time. Spread them out by at least 5-10 minutes.
If more than 20 threads are needed you can install Secure Copy on another machine and use the same license key. Secure Copy is licensed on a named server basis of the source and targets machines, not the application server (unless it’s a source or target machine).
