Description

In a script, the verify a process is running (or not running) step fails. For example, when attempting verify whether outlook.exe is running, the K1000 reports back that it is running whether or not Outlook is up and running. At the same time, other processes, such as iexplore.exe return proper results depending on whether or not the process is running.
Cause

The verify a process is/is not running step of a script requires that the name of the process be exact and is case-sensitive.
Resolution

Enter the name of the process in this step exactly as it shows in Windows task manager. For example, the process for Outlook shows as OUTLOOK.EXE, whereas the process for Internet Explorer shows as iexplore.exe.
Verification will proceed normally as long as the case of the name of the process is correct.
