Archive Managers search index may get corrupted depending on environment.
The main reason of Index corruption is some kind of delay to write/read operation performed by AM Full Text Index service.
The delay could be as small as fraction of second caused either by Anti-Virus, Spyware, Adware, second copy of AM Full Text Index service ran via command prompt or any other third resident software like on-access scanners actively using the hard drive. It also could be caused by HDD latency itself.
It can also be caused by more than one thing trying to write to indexes database at the same time.
Workaround
1.Quest Software advise to use dedicated RAID1 or RAID5 just for Archive Managers Index.
2. Exclude the AM Index folders from the On Access Virus scanner.
3. Make sure you do not run the Service and Console mode at the same time.
4. Make sure you do not run the Service and an Optimise at the same time.
