Where can I find the logs for the Offline Client and howcan I set the logging level for the Offline Client?
The log file location is typically found in the users profile in Windows.
C:\Documents and Settings\<Current User>\Local Settings\Application Data\Quest Software\Archive Manager\Logs
There are several different logs which can be found here depending on which functions you may be using in the Offline Client. The main one which is referenced most often is theQsArchiveUsrExt.log. This is the main log file which records enabling cached mode and synchronization of the email from Archive Managerto the PST file.
***NOTE*** Archive Manager stores the email in a PST file which can be located under C:\Documents and Settings\<Current User>\Local Settings\Application Data\Quest Software\Archive Manager\Offline2\<Current User>\81CF8410CF880862F8FB7778818BBCC1 *** (The number at the end of the path is randomly generated.)
To set the logging level for the Offline Client the following command needs to be run froma command prompt-
In the C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Archive Manager\Client directory there is a file calledSetLogLevel.cmd
From a command prompt run theSetLogLevel.cmdwith the following syntax:
SetLogLevel.cmd All 0- This will turn off all logging for the Offline Client
SetLogLevel.cmd All 3 -This will turn on all logging for the Offline Client to default levels
SetLogLevel.cmd All10 -This will turn on all logging for the Offline Client to trace levels (should only be used for trouble shooting purposes)
