Is it possible to run vRanger and Netvault Smartdisk on the same server? -
Description
When installing vRanger and NVSD, it is not possible to install them on the same server

Cause
NVSD must be installed on a dedicated physical server because the deduplication process requires a minimum of 2GB RAM and then an additional 400MB per 1TB of NVSD-unique data. Installing vRanger on top of this will lead to poor performance for vRanger and/or NVSD

Resolution
Best practice is to install vRanger on a separate physical or virtual machine and NVSD on its dedicated physical server
