Upgrade failed with a DB error Database installation failed. Reason: Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'VirtualApplianceUuid', table 'vRangerPro.dbo.DiskMount'; column does not allow nulls. UPDATE fails. Error in C:\Program Files\Quest Software\vRanger\Service\vRangerProDBUpgradeScripts\vRangerPro.5.4.0.0.sql
 

There is a NULL value in the database and it is not allowed in the upgrade process.

1. Backed up the database using SQL Management Studio
2. Opened the vRangerPro DataBase and edited the table (open table) dbo.DiskMount
3. Changed all the “NULL” under the Virtual Appliance column to 0 (zero)
4. Save the table
5. Run the upgrade again
