Change Tracking greyed out (4045229)

Change Block Tracking cannot be enabled on some of the Virtual Machines.

1. Virtual Machines' hardware version has to be 7 or higher
2. VMware Tools is not installed

1. Open vSphere Client
2. Shutdown the VM
3. Right-click > Upgrade Virtual Hardware

Note: You can only upgrade the hardware version of the Guest OS when it is shutdown.

When VMware Tools is not installed/updated you must install/update it as well (this requires a reboot).

1. Power up the VM
2. Right-click on the VM > Guest > Install/Upgrade VMware Tools
3. When prompted, choose to perform an automatic tools upgrade
4. Reboot when done
