ESXi Network replications fails - .vmdk is pointing to a snapshot (4045196)

Error Message: API Call failed with message: A general system error occurred: The parent virtual disk has been modified since the child was created. Parent virutal disk's content ID does not match with the parent content ID in the child

It appears that we are adding a snapshot to the target VM, writing to the target disk using NDB transport, reverting the snapshot, and finally committing the snapshot. This process seems to cause the snapshot to break. The snapshot itself disappears, but the header file for the delta file that belonged to the snapshot is corrupt. It should contain the CID of the parent VMDK file. Instead it contains FFFFFE as the parent CID and it's own CID. In this state the delta will never be committed and the VM will not power on.
