During backup one or more VM's fail with the Error Message: An internal error occurred during execution, please contact Vizioncore support if the error persists. Error Message: One or more disks from virtual machine <vmnamehere> is already mounted to the vRanger virtual machine. You must unmount these disks before attempting to backup the virtual machine.
HotAdd mounts disk to vRanger server for the duration of the backup and unmounts it after it is complete. On rare occasion when vRanger looses communication with ESX host, or there is a problem with OS or vRanger application, mounted disks may never get removed and they continue to be attached to vRanger server. When vRanger attempts another backup of the same VM it recognizes that there are old disks attached to vRanger VM. vRanger throws than following message:..."You must unmount these disks before attempting to backup the virtual machine."
Please check if your vRanger VM has any extra disks attached in vSphere client.
To do this I got the properties of the vRanger virtual machine, and you should find more than one hard drive. Than you go to properties of each drive, check for datastore name and also you might see the VM name which this drive belongs to. If you find this extra disks (AND VRANGER IS NOT DOING ANY BACKUPS) please detach it from the vRanger. Select "Remove" than "Remove from virtual machine" Select "OK"
Attempt backup again.
