Backups to RDA repository fail with "Error: 3181 - FATAL rofs_ver_check RDA SDK failed trying to verify server version (Operation timedout)"
Description
- VA backups are failing to the DR device.
- Backups using Machine-LAN transport works without any problem.
- A Windows FLR can be performed from the DR device.
The error message is as follows:
Error: 3181 - FATAL rofs_ver_check RDA SDK failed trying to verify server version (Operation timedout) [at rofs_version_check:182]
Cause

The Virtual Appliance is not able to able to communicate with the DR device. A ping test can help identify a communication problem with DR device.
Resolution

If the DR device is in a isolated network segment not reachable with the current NIC, a secondary NIC can be added to the Virtual Appliance in order to allow communication.
