Replication Metadata Takes a Long Time -
Description
With replication set up between two Cores, the transfer of metadata phase is taking an abnormal amount of time (longer than 20 seconds). -
Cause
Short of environmental factors (i.e. low bandwidth, slow network speeds, outdated drivers/firmware on NICs and network hardware), the issue would be in the settings of the RemoteReplicationSyncJobPoolingTime registry REG_SZ, located at HKLM\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\Replication\ReplicationService. -
Resolution
By default, this specifc entry should be set at a value of 00:00:10. Anything larger would casue slow transfer of metadata between the Cores. Keep in mind, that modifying these entries should not be done in order to avoid further damage and problematic production results with the AppAssure deployment. If this entry is not at the 00:00:10 default value, it should be changed and the Core.Service gracefully restarted.
