Title
Backup Fails with "vRanger was unable to pull back a list of virtual machines to backup". -
Description
Since an upgrade to vRanger 7.0 or 7.0.2, vCenter disconnects and all scheduled backups fail with "vRanger was unable to pull back a list of virtual machines to backup" -
Cause
When the vCenter service is stopped and restarted, the vCenter never recovers in the vRanger inventory.

STATUS:
Fixed in vRanger 7.1.1
WORKAROUND:
Refresh the vRanger inventory manually or schedule a refresh of the vRanger inventory using a powershell script.
The attached ZIP file contains a batch file and a powershell script to refresh the inventory.1. Place the files in the following folder: "C:\Program Files\Dell\vRanger".2. Create a scheduled task to run the batch file.3. This should be scheduled to run before the scheduled backup jobs to ensure the inventory is refreshed and connected. -
