Reusing Existing Scratch Disks with scratch disk script
Description

After deploying a new VA you can avoid rehashing during the replication pass by using the existing vzmap files from the old VA.
Cause

The vzmap files are located on the VA's scratch disk.
Resolution
There are 3 basic methods you can use to reuse the existing scratch disk data. The video in this solution wil cover the second method. The other methods are covered in https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL102621
- Deploy a new VA
- Attach the existing scratch disk
- Run the scratch_scsi.sh script.
  To run the script you will need to log into the VA and run the following commands:
  cd /root/bin/
  ./scratch_scsi.sh -a "0:0:1:0" -w 190
