Error message 1612 while trying to install Agent.
When attempting an installation or upgrade on Rapid Recovery Agent the installation fails with ‘Error 1612: The installation source for this product is not available.”
- Before performing steps below is needed to make a backup for the all AppAssure registry files.
- Uninstall the existing core installation using a 3rd party removal tool like Msizap.exe
- Stop the Core service
- Download Ccleaner (http://download.cnet.com/CCleaner/)
- Delete the ‘Core’ folder from the C:\Program Files\AppRecovery path
- Run the upgrade
- Import the registry branch backed up on the first step
