If the Virtual Appliance is powered off for any reason it may not power back on. You will also see an error in vSphere that one or more required disks cannot be accessed.
Please follow the steps below to correct your issue.
1. Locate the Virtual Appliance in vSphere.
2. Right click on the VM and select Edit settings.
3. Locate the Disk(s) that do not belong to the VA and select Remove. Be sure the the Radio Button from Remove from VM is selected and NOT the Delete from Disk button.
4 Once the disks that do not belong to the VA are removed the VA should power on correctly.
