The ability to map Asset Status was added to an Asset Import in version 10.0 of the KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA). The Mapping page in the Import Assets wizard now allows you to map the Asset Status field to a column in the CSV file. This is useful in cases when you need to import a high number of assets with each asset having a specific status (such as Active).
Resolution
To map the Asset Status:
Ensure that the CSV used has a column where the Asset Status is populated for the assets to be imported
During Asset Mapping, choose an associated column of the CSV to import into the Asset Status field by using the drop-down menu
Note: If no Asset Status mapping is specified, the default status that is associated with the selected Asset Type is assigned to each imported asset entry.
