RMAD is slow to load the console, and scheduled backups fail. ERDisk.exe fails to terminate and stays resident in the memory (task manager).
The backups.mdb may have become corrupt.
Check the size of backups.mdb The default location for this file is: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Quest Software\RMAD Depending of the frequency of use and how long RMAD has been installed the file should be 256k - 4mb in size. The larger it is, the slow RMAD will be to open. If the file size is large +8mb.
1. Ensure RMAD is not in the process of a backup or restore.
2. Close the RMAD console
3. Move or rename the backups.mdb file
4. Open the RMAD Console, this will create a new backups.mdb All your site configuration settings will be saved. However, you may need to set your options for Default Backup Location & Unpacked Backups underRecovery Manager for AD -> Settings. You may need to re-register you latest backups. Please see the Recovery Manager for AD User Guide on how to do so.
